Q: What is the code for my SKY remote?

A: The code for the Sky remote is 0156; instructions for usage are found in the Sky User guide.

Q: Do all Toshiba Television sets have Freeview?

A: All Toshiba TV's are certified digital products that are designed to continue working after switchover; enabling access to the Freeview service. Freeview is received through your aerial from a transmitter; to find out if Freeview is available in your area visit www.freeview.co.uk

Q: What is the difference between HD Ready and Full HD?

A: A HD Ready TV will have a minimum of 720p horizontal lines of pixels; it can accept HD video formats in 720p and 1080i. A Full HD Ready TV will display 1080i and 1080p content without distrotion; the more pixels the better the resolution and picture quality because you will see the finer details in images.

Q: Can you record one channel and watch another?

A: Recording with twin digital tuners enables you to record one digital channel and watch another. Toshiba Hard Drive Recorders only have one digital tuner; however you can use the tuner on your Digital TV to enable this function. If you do not have a digital TV; you can use the analogue tuner to view your TV programme and digital tuner to record.

Q: Can I pause and rewind live TV like Sky+?

A: A Digital hard drive recorder offers a Freeview+ service enabling you to pause and rewind live TV. When the hard drive recorder is not in use; you can press pause to pause the TV programme and simply press play to resume. Or alternatively rewind to catch up on anything missed on your favourite programmes.

Paused and Rewound content is constantly over written; therefore will only be stored for a maximum of two hours. The content is also non-accessible once a new channel is selected.
