AutoView ambient light sensor

AutoView technology automatically adjusts picture settings depending on not only room lighting, but also the content being watched. The ambient light sensor constantly adjusts the TV’s backlight to provide a better viewing experience. In light rooms backlight is increased, in dark rooms backlight is dimmed.

Meta Brain

Not all TV’s are born equal. MetaBrain is Toshiba’s uniquely developed processing chip that acts as the brain of TV. MetaBrain drives certain features on the TV such as Resolution+, AutoView as standard features as well as variations of Active Vision Picture Processing and on selected models Dolby Volume.

Automatically adjusts brightness required by the signal. This system allows fine detail to be reproduced, without compromising the rendering of colourful, high-bright scenes, by dimming the backlight. Conversely, for bright scenes the backlight can be brightened to give images a new intensity.
