| Resolution+ is Toshiba’s upscaling technology that takes standard definition images and enhances them to create picture quality closer to your TVs full potential. Using its integrated processing power, Toshiba’s Resolution Plus is able to improve pictures by increasing image definition and improving picture edges using correlation with adjacent images. A powerful processor is able to review adjacent areas of an image, determining waveforms of a similar nature and combine pixel information to enhance edge detail and improve the perceived depth and texture within the final picture. |

- A standard definition (SD image) from your digital set top box, aerial, MP3 player, laptop/PC, games console or DVD is received and upsaled to new HD quality.
- The freshly upscaled image is then down converted to SD quality to compare the newly created SD image to the original SD input signal.
- Differentials between the original image and the downscales image are detected and removed. This process of upscaling and downscaling takes place three times, all in real time, so no delay can be seen.
- On the final rotation, an SD image is output as close to high definition quality, resulting in a clearer, sharper, reicher image.
